Standby diesel generators are a critical element of a complete power protection solution. In the event of an extended power outage, first line power protection systems (ie. UPS) are only designed for a limited uptime.
Diesel generators can have a standard fuel tank or have extended fuel tanks to extend the runtime of the generator. Should fuel run low, it can be topped up to provide continuous generator power until utility power is returned.
Used in conjunction with an automatic transfer switch (ATS), the system can automatically switch to generator when the mains fails negating the need for human involvement. By automatically starting the generator, the non-critical load can be restored almost instantly.
Diesel generators can be supplied to support virtually any size of electrical installation in a variety of environments. Sound attenuated, weatherproof canopies can be installed along with DEFRA compliant bunded fuel tanks, water jacket heaters, electronic governors etc to meet the needs of the customer.
