Riello has unveiled a brand new modular UPS for data centres and critical loads. Launched at Data Centre World and now available through RMD, the Riello Multi Power is designed to protect any critical high-density computer and IT environment and can grow with the demands of the business without the need for over-sizing the UPS.
As soon as demand increases, the UPS can expand its power capability, optimising energy efficiency and offering excellent ROI. The UPS unit grows both horizontally and vertically from 1 to 28 Power Modules, with the option to increase capacity from 42kW to 1176kW. With its modular design, redundancy can be achieved in a much smaller footprint than traditional N+x redundant configurations.
The battery system can also be increased from one cabinet up to ten, making the system completely scalable in accordance with business requirements. Easily configurable to provide redundancy on the batteries and with modular, independent battery strings, should one module fail the system will not let you down when you need it most.
Designed within a 42U rack cabinet, available floor space can be increased allowing for more IT equipment in the much-needed IT space. The appearance of the Multi Power lends itself to this environment and will not look out of place alongside the rest of your server cabinets.
The UPS gives high performance in temperatures up to 40 degrees, with up to four temperature sensors embedded within the Power cabinet to ensure constant and efficient operation. The UPS module is equipped with three speed-controlled fans to ensure there is no energy wasted as the load level applied to the system increases or decreases.
Users can benefit from the different communication systems developed specifically for IT personnel, facilities managers and service engineers. With 7”LCD touch screen, communication slots for a variety of communication accessories and dedicated service ports the UPS setup, control and monitoring is easy. The Multi Power can be integrated into any network, building management system and DCIM and is compatible with the very latest operating systems.
